Vaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (vNOTES) is an evolving minimally invasive technique for hysterectomy and adnexal surgery offering benefits to both patient and surgeon.
The vNOTES workshop provides a comprehensive understanding of vNOTES procedural steps and instrumentation used in the treatment of benign gynaecologic pathologies.
It includes the following:
- Didactic lectures reviewing indications, clinical literature, anatomy, and instrument placement.
- Demo + basic hands-on experience with the Simsei® tissue model.
- Training pathway and expert guidance from the faculty.

Basic. Especially designed for residents and gynaecologists interested in Hysteroscopy.
Course description
The objective of this course is to provide the basic knowledge and hand skills on diagnostic hysteroscopy regarding the technique, devices, patients management in the OR and interpretation of the endometrial pathologies.
Learning objectives
- Overview of hysteroscopy devices setup and patients’ selection
- Updated information regarding the cervical os entry and intrauterine pressure
- Detailed insight to improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in hysteroscopy.
- Guidance regarding description of the lesion and its anatomical location and degree of myometrial penetrance.
Target audience
- Gynaecologists, Residents and Doctors interested in Hysteroscopy.

The course is designed for operating room nurses wanted to increase their knowledge in the field of endoscopic surgery. The course will be divided in a theoretical part with a thorough and well-prepared scientific program, power point presentations and videos to help participants to understand and quickly learn the principles and the procedures of correct assistance in endoscopic surgery. Experts in instruments and equipment management will teach and provide information and guidelines in cleaning maintenance and sterilization.
The second part of the course will teach the nurses how to use several devices essential for MIS.
All participants will learn the instruments / equipment and they will practice the instruments preparation and the setup as needed in the OR. They will also assist as instrumentalists and running nurses for the most frequent endoscopic interventions in gynaecological surgeries.
Objectives
- To gain knowledge and experience in MIGS OR nursing
- To gain knowledge about instruments, equipment, and energy sources
- To understand organization and ergonomics of the OR
- To manage endoscopic units and to learn data management in OR
- To practice in an integrated OR
Educational needs and expected outcomes.
- The importance of the specific nursing work and tasks during Diagnostic and Operative Laparoscopy / Hysteroscopy will be stressed. The difficulties of single access surgery like hysteroscopy will be explained.
- To understand several major endoscopic surgery issues e.g., fluid balance in hysteroscopy, the pre-operative patient preparation, patient positioning, quick nurse response during a difficult case will be demonstrated.

Course description
The objective of this course is to provide the basic knowledge and hand skills on diagnostic and basic operative laparoscopy regarding the technique, devices, patients management in the OR and interpretation of the abdominal pathologies.
Learning objectives
- Overview of first entry and secondary techniques, devices functions and setup, and patients’ selection
- Updated information regarding positioning of the patients, options of uterine manipulator, intra- abdominal pressure, minimizing complications and how to manage them.
- How to improve diagnostic accuracy and efficiency in laparoscopy
- Guidance regarding description of the lesion and its anatomical location
