EthicalMedTech Compliance Status

The ESGE 35th Annual Congress (ESGE 2026) has been submitted for assessment through the EthicalMedTech Conference Vetting System (CVS). The review is currently in progress, and the outcome will be published on this page as soon as it becomes available.

The ESGE Annual Congress has consistently received a positive compliance assessment through the CVS in previous years, and we anticipate a similar outcome for the 2026 Congress.

The Conference Vetting System (CVS) is an independently managed initiative in the healthcare sector that evaluates the compliance of third-party educational events with the MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and the Mecomed Code of Business Practice. The system determines whether member companies of MedTech Europe and Mecomed may support such events through educational grants or commercial activities such as exhibition booths, advertising, or satellite symposia.

Since January 1, 2021, MedTech Europe and the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) have operated a joint platform to assess Third-Party Organised Educational Events (TPOEs) — the Conference Vetting System (CVS).

EthicalMedTech, supported by MedTech Europe, is a platform dedicated to ethics and compliance initiatives in the medical technology industry.
